Easily thickens liquids and pureed foods for people with swallowing problems. Diabetic exchange: 1 packet = 1/3 fruit. One packet will thicken most liquids to nectar-like consistency in accordance to viscosity standards of the National Dysphagia Diet. Gluten free.
Slowly add the contents of this packet into 4 fl oz of liquid while stirring briskly with a spoon, fork or whisk until thickener has dissolved. Let thickened liquid stand 30 seconds to 1 minute to achieve desired consistency and serve. When mixed with milk or nutritional supplement drink, stir briskly, let stand 5 to 10 minutes, stir and serve. Additional packets may be used to produce honey or pudding-like consistencies. The natural viscosity of the liquid being thickened and its serving temperature impact the amount of Thick-It 2 Instant Food and Beverage Thickener required. For best results, consume within 30 minutes of mixing.
