Surfak, a stool softener, is indicated for the relief of occasional constipation.

Adults and children 12 years of age and over: one Liqui-Gel by mouth daily for several days or until bowel movements are normal. For use in children under 12, consult a physician.

Active Ingredients: Docusate Calcium (240 mg per caplet). Also Contains: Corn Oil, FD&C Blue No. 1 and Red No. 40, Gelatin, Glycerin, Parabens, Sorbitol, and Other Ingredients.

Do not take laxative products when abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting are present unless directed by a doctor. If you have noticed a sudden change in bowel habits that persists over a period of 2 weeks, consult a doctor before using a laxative. Laxative products should not be used for a period longer than 1 week unless directed by a doctor. Rectal bleeding or failure to have a bowel movement after use of a laxative may indicate a serious condition. Discontinue use and consult your doctor. In case of accidental overdose, seek professional assistance or contact a Poison Control Center immediately. As with any drug, if you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek the advice of a health professional before using this product.
