Increases safety and convenience getting over bathtub wall. Reversible backrest fits bathtubs with left or right side faucets. Detachable arm rail may be used for assistance while transferring in and out of the bathtub. Legs adjust in 1/2 inch increments with push buttons to heights between 16-1/2 and 20-1/2 inches. Includes: anodized aluminum leg assembly (2), footpiece assemblies (4), leg braces (3), white plastic seat (1), white plastic backrest (1), seat braces (2), arm rail (1), backrest tubes (2), assembly hardware packet (1), complete instructions. Assembly: Before starting assembly read through entire instructions, identify all components and retrieve a Phillips screwdriver. Step 1 Frame assembly: Attach the leg braces (u-shaped ends) to the leg frames using four 1-3/8 inch screws. Make sure the push buttons for the leg extensions are facing in. Firmly tighten each screw. Step 2 Attaching leg assembly and seat braces to seat: A. Lay seat upside down on a solid surface. B. Place frame assembly onto seat aligning with holes in seat bottom. C. Place the three seat braces (flat on ends) across frame assembly and over screw holes. D. Using six 1-3/8 inch screws, attach frame assembly and seat braces to seat. Firmly tighten each screw. Step 3 Footpiece assembly: A. While the bench is still upside down, install the footpiece assemblies. Slide a leg extension with suction cup foot over a leg containing an arm rail guide until the push button is engaged in a height adjustment hole. Repeat with the other suction cup foot leg extension. B. Slide the remaining two leg extensions onto the opposite legs until the push buttons engage. Step 4 Backrest assembly: Place backrest upside down on flat surface. Align each back frame assembly with holes on backrest. The opposite end of the frame assembly should face down. Use four 1-1/4 inch screws and four curved washers to attach the back frame to the backrest. Tighten each screw. Step 5 Attach backrest: A. Determine which side back assembly should be placed. Note: Bathtub Transfer Bench should be facing shower head with backrest in the bathtub. B. Slide backrest assembly through the channel guides until the push buttons engage. Step 6 Attach arm rail: A. Locate arm rail guides above the leg extensions with suction cup feet. B. Holding the arm rail with the curve facing out, slide the arm rail into the arm rail guides until the push buttons engage. For use: Place Bathtub Transfer Bench in bathtub facing shower head, with the two legs with suction cup feet sitting securely inside the bathtub and two legs securely outside the bathtub. Adjust leg height by using push buttons on legs so the seating surface is level and at a comfortable height. To enter bathtub: Sit on bench that is positioned outside of bathtub, and slide over to the middle of bench. Lift one leg at a time over the bathtub wall. Once both legs are inside bathtub, slide over to a comfortable position in center of bathtub. Shower curtain: To prevent water seepage you may wish to slit the shower curtain liner so that it may be drawn between the seat boards. To clean: Can be easily cleaned with mild soap and water. Do not use abrasive powder or scouring pads.
