Folic acid is an essential B vitamin that supports the heart.* Folic acid also plays a significant role in the formation of new cells and is an important vitamin for women.* This supplement also contains B-6 and B-12 that, along with Folic Acid, help to maintain homocysteine levels that are already within the normal range.* Folic acid intake should not exceed 1000 mcg or 250% of the DV (daily value) for adults and children 4 or more years of age, or 125% of the DV for pregnant or lactating women.
