Contraindications: Ischemia (e.g. Advanced arterial disease), uncontrolled congestive heart failure, untreated septic phlebitis, phlegmasia coerulea dolens. Cautions: Skin infections, weeping dermatoses, incompatibility to fabric, impaired sensitivity of the limb, immobility (confinement to bed).
