Adults take 1 or 2 capsules daily, or as directed by a physician. Iron is best absorbed on an empty stomach; however, occasional gastrointestinal discomfort (such as nausea) may be minimized by taking with meals. Iron-containing medication may occasionally cause black stools, constipation, or diarrhea, which is usually transient and self-limiting. Store at 25 degrees C (77 degrees F); excursions permitted to 15 degrees-30 degrees (59 degrees-86 degrees). See USP Controlled Room Temperature. Protect from light and moisture. Dispense in a tight, light-resistant container with a child-resistant closure as defined in the USP/NF.
