At least 10 minutes prior to intercourse: Remove the protective wrap and insert Encare into the vagina (see diagram on package insert). Each Encare insert gives you 1 full hour of protection. May be used with: condom or diaphragm for added protection. Before use: read all directions and special warnings on this package and the insert inside.

Polyethylene Glycols; Sodium Bicarbonate; Sodium Citrate; Tartaric Acid

For vaginal use only. Do not use: if you are pregnant or think you might be pregnant. Ask a doctor before use: if you can use this product for contraception; if you have been told by a doctor that you should not become pregnant. When using this product: if you or your partner develops irritation, such as burning or itching in the genital area, stop using the product. If irritation continues, contact your doctor. Encare is approximately as effective as vaginal foam contraceptives in actual use. However, no birth control method is 100% effective, so follow the enclosed instructions exactly for best protection against pregnancy. If douching is desired, always wait at least 6 hours after intercourse before douching; this product has not been shown to protect against HIV (AIDS) or other sexually transmitted diseases; do not take orally. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of accidental ingestion get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
