Your baby's health depends on carefully following these directions. Boil clean bottles, nipples, and preparation utensils for 5 minutes. Heat more water for formula to a rolling boil, and let cool to approximately 100 degrees F (40 degrees C). Pour desired amount of water into bottle. Add 1 packed level scoop (enclosed) (9.4 g) of powder to each 2 fl oz (60 mL) of water. Always add powder to water. Cap bottle and SHAKE WELL. For a quart of formula, add 1 packed level measuring cup (136 g) of powder to 29 fl oz (860 mL) of water. Put the powder into a deep 2-quart mixing bowl. Add 8 fl oz of water. Mix with an egg beater or electric mixer until a smooth paste is formed. Add the remaining water slowly while mixing. Pour formula into bottles or a cup.
