Children and teenagers should not use this product for chicken pox or flu symptoms before a doctor is consulted about Reye Syndrome, a rare but serious illness reported to be associated with aspirin. As with any medicine, if you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek the advice of a health professional before using this product. It is especially important not to use aspirin during the last 3 months of pregnancy unless specifically directed to do so by a doctor because it may cause problems in the unborn child or complications during delivery. Alcohol Warning: If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take aspirin or other pain relievers/fever reducers. Aspirin may cause stomach bleeding. Do not use unless directed by a doctor for pain for more than 10 days; for fever for more than 3 days; in children under 12 years of age. Ask a doctor before use if you are allergic to aspirin, have asthma, stomach problems that persist or recur, have ulcers or bleeding problems; if you are taking a prescription drug for anticoagulation (thinning of the blood), diabetes or gout. Stop using this product if pain or fever persists or gets worse; ringing in the ears or loss of hearing occurs; new symptoms occur; redness or swelling is present. See a doctor. These could be signs of a serious condition. Keep out of reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, seek medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. Tamper-Evident Features for Your Protection: This bottle has an imprinted foil seal under the cap. The words Ecotrin Low appear on each tablet. Do not use this product if any of these tamper-evident features are missing or broken.
