To open suppository wrapper. 1. Detach one suppository from the strip of suppositories and remove wrapper before inserting into the rectum as follows: 2. Hold suppository upright (with words pull apart at top). 3. Carefully separate the plastic wrapper tabs with your fingers. 4. Peel plastic slowly and evenly down both sides, exposing suppository. 5. Avoid excessive handling of suppository, since it is designed to melt at body temperature. 6. If suppository seems soft, hold in plastic wrapper under cold water for 2 to 3 minutes. Adults: Insert one (1) suppository rectally up to six times daily or after each bowel movement by following these steps: when practical, clean the affected area with mild soap and warm water and rinse thoroughly. Gently dry by patting or blotting with toilet paper or a soft cloth before application. Remove one suppository from wrapper and insert suppository into the rectum. Children under 12 years of age: ask a doctor. Store at 59 to 77 degrees F to avoid melting.
